Wind-Flower - Anemone berlandieri

Here’s an anemone that ranges closer to the purple than the green or white variations.   Fully open this time, obviously.

Named for Jean Louis Berlandier who collected plants in Texas and northern Mexico. This bud is not quite open for business.  The mostly white sepals are not petals. Colors range from greenish white to purple. This one is one of the many weeds that are interspersed between the clumps of Buffalo Grass in my curbside strip.
